For major festivals and public events we recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance, particularly for summer weekends when demand is highest. Smaller events — corporate functions, markets and community days — can often be accommodated with 1–2 weeks notice. Contact us early if your event falls between November and March.
Yes. Every hire includes full youmist crew attendance: delivery, set-up before your event opens, on-site operation throughout the event, and pack-down at close. You don't touch the equipment. Our team monitors system performance, adjusts zone coverage as crowd distribution changes, and handles any operational issues on the spot.
Our standard portable pump unit runs on a standard 15-amp single-phase outlet — the same as a domestic power point. Water connection is via a standard garden tap or event water point. For sites without mains water access, we can supply a self-contained water tank as part of the hire package. Our team will confirm site utility requirements when you book.
High-pressure misting systems work best in open-air or semi-covered outdoor spaces where the evaporated droplets can disperse. Fully enclosed indoor spaces are generally not suitable — the humidity will build rather than evaporate and surfaces may eventually become damp. Covered outdoor areas like marquees, open-sided tents and shade structures with good airflow work very well.
A single pump unit with standard nozzle lines covers approximately 200–400 square metres of active cooling zone, depending on ambient temperature, wind conditions and nozzle configuration. For larger events we bring multiple pump units and configure them as zones — each independently controlled so coverage can be concentrated where the crowd is densest.
